Alison Spillers LCPC, Ed.S.

Alison Spillers is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has gained extensive experience in crisis stabilization inpatient settings working with individuals and groups who struggle with chronic mental health and substance use issues. She works with individuals, families and couples on presenting issues including, depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment, relationship, divorce & separation, and communication issues.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, tailoring her treatment according to each client’s individual needs. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems approaches.

Alison has special interest and experience in helping those who have been through trauma to overcome their ineffective coping mechanisms such as self- harming behaviors, substance use, and eating disorder behaviors. She believes that everyone has innate strengths within them that can be built upon to become the best version of themselves. She will give her clients validation and attention to these strengths in order to promote positive change in their lives.
